A Fool's Hope

The big news of the day is the confirmation of the long standing rumor of Guillermo del Toro directing The Hobbit feature films for producer Peter Jackson. I greet this news with cautious optimism.
While there is no doubt that del Toro can put together a feast for the eyes, I am somewhat nervous about the storytelling. For as much a wonder as Pan's Labyrinth was, it was not enough to make us forget the plot-less mess that was Blade 2.
In any event, all we can do now is wait and hope...a fool's hope.
While I'm on the topic of film, I should mention that my anticipation for next week's release of Iron Man can only be rivaled by the summer's releases of Indiana Jones, The Dark Knight, Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and Sex & The City: The Movie.
I'll give you a moment to think about which of the above was a joke. The answer may surprise you.
While you're contemplating that riddle, please join us in the forum for your thoughts on these and other fantasy/sci-fi upcoming flicks.
